Clickbank Progress Report
When I started this blog, I envisioned that it would concentrate on trying to make money with Clickbank.
The focus has organically drifted towards making money online in general; as well as “how to drive traffic to your blog”. I have kind of drifted away from the whole Clickbank vibe.
However, yesterday I made another Clickbank sale. Someone bought Illustratred Haiku Poems, which I marketed in this blog spot.
I guess this is a sign for me to refocus, or recap actually, on where I am with the whole Clickbank experiment.
So here goes:
In broad strokes I have made four sales and netted a total commission of $19.09.
These are the products I have sold:
1. One copy of 101 Famous Quotes from Alice in Wonderland
2. One copy of Uncovering the Secrets of Thai Bar Girls
3. Two Copies of Illustrated Haiku Poems
Now, before Clickbank actually sends you your first cheque, you need to meet the following criteria:
“* Sales made with 5 or more different credit card numbers and
* Sales made with two different payment methods (either Visa, MasterCard, or PayPal).
Note: PayPal purchases do not count toward the minimum 5 different credit card numbers.”
What this means is – at the very best – you are going to NEED FIVE SALES BEFORE YOU GET PAID. So if you make five sales and one of the payment methods is Paypal, you need to still make a sixth sale, paid with a fifth credit card.
It gets worse, because there are penalties for dormant accounts:
*Accounts with a positive balance but no earnings for an extended period of time are considered dormant.
*Dormant accounts are subject to a charge of $1 per pay period after 90 days of inactivity, $5 per pay period after 180 days of inactivity, and $50 per pay period after 365 days of inactivity.
So you could make a good sale to start with, nothing for a while; and your commission, by default gets reduced.
This is apparently, one of the biggest reasons why most Clickbank beginners give up and abandon the whole process.
So where does this leave me?
- I have made four sales, one of them being via Paypal. This means that I have to make two more sales with two different credit cards.
In a nutshell, this is where I find myself. Two more sales, two more sales… :-)
Here is a great website and ebook; “ClickBank Affiliate SuperTips” that has proved greatly beneficial and informative to me so far. It costs a little bit of money, but is well worth it, in the greater scheme of things.
It would be rude of me not to sign off with a cheeky, inexpensive, little Clickbank product that may get me my next two sales:
Here it is: The Ultimate Mind Reading Trick for only $9.97.
Cheers.

Damn sorry about that paypal buy. Bad friend!
